Frequently Asked Questions About AI

What information is shared with AI?

Only the text written by educators is shared with the AI, including observations, parent communications, and daily journals. A child’s record is never shared, nor are medical details, contact information, or photos.

How is personal information protected when I use AI?

Before any information is sent, personally identifiable information is automatically removed from the text. This includes children’s names, phone numbers, and social insurance numbers, for example. You can therefore write your observations as usual. As with any digital tool, we recommend including only the information necessary for the observation.

Is my data used to train the AI?

No. The information processed by AI in Tiempo Pedago is not used to train any artificial intelligence model.

Is AI-generated content reviewed by a person before it is shared with parents?

Yes. The AI generates a draft, and the educator reviews it, edits it if necessary, and decides whether to share it with parents. AI is a writing assistance tool, and professional judgment always remains with your team.

Can AI be disabled for our childcare centre?

Yes. Each AI feature can be individually disabled for your childcare centre. Our documentation explains the steps required to deactivate these features.
